As you are aware, International Day for Biodiversity (IDB) is on 22nd May 2020 and this time the major theme of IDB is “SOLUTIONS ARE IN NATURE”, which is relevant in a world crippled with COVID-19 pandemics.
International Biodiversity Congress (IBC) is organising a webinar on 22nd May 2020 (from 7 to 9 pm Indian Time) on the theme topic “POST-COVID ERA: MAINSTREAMING BIODIVERSITY AND NATURE IN DEVELOPMENT AGENDA”.
The main speakers/panellists in the webinar include Dr Vandana Shiva (Founder, Navdanya), Dr VB Mathur (Chairperson, NBA), Dr Balakrishna Pisupati (Chairperson, FLEDGE), Sri SM Vijayanand IAS (retd), former Chief Secretary, Kerala), Sri Bittu Saghal (Founder Editor, Sanctuary Asia), Sri Ashish Kothari (Kalpavriksh), Dr Deepak Apte (Director, BNHS), Dr GG Gangadharan (Director, RISA, Bangalore) and Smt. Supriya Sheshan (Gurukul Botanical Sanctuary).
The programme is jointly organised by International Biodiversity Congress (IBC), an initiative by Trivandrum based CISSA, which organised IBC as a biannual event in major cities of India since 2010 and the largest biodiversity meet in India), Navdanya (Delhi) and University of Kerala.
