The second edition of South India’s prestigious travel and trade event, the Global Travel Market (GTM 2026), is currently underway in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Running from June 3 to June 5, 2026,
This high-profile event serves as a premier platform for connecting diverse industries, regional businesses, and tourism stakeholders across the region. The Center for Innovation in Science and Social Action (CISSA) has actively participated in this event to showcase and promote the sustainable agricultural initiatives of our Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs). The GTM Expo officially opened its doors to visitors on June 4, 2026, at the Golden Palace Convention Centre in Amaravila, near Neyyattinkara. The expansive exhibition features more than 300 stalls, highlighting a massive array of innovative tourism products, premium hospitality services, and distinct regional offerings. The event has attracted a large footprint of domestic and international delegates, trade buyers, and the general public, creating a vibrant ecosystem for business.

We were honored to welcome the Honorable Tourism Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Sri Kandula Durgesh, along with AP Special Secretary Sri. Ajai Jain and other high-level delegation, to our stall.
CISSA Participation and FPO Impact
Taking advantage of this major trade platform, CISSA set up a dedicated pavilion to display a wide, diverse range of high-quality products manufactured by our associated FPOs. The exhibit bridges the gap between rural agricultural producers and mainstream commercial markets, effectively demonstrating the value-addition capabilities of local farmers. The beautifully arranged stall highlights the biological diversity, purity, and innovative packaging of our grassroots products, catching the attention of eco-conscious consumers and trade distributors alike. Business Outcomes and Enquiries

The response at the CISSA pavilion has been overwhelmingly positive since the opening hours of the expo. The stall is experiencing a high volume of footfall, resulting in numerous serious business enquiries, retail sales, and preliminary discussions for bulk supply chains. Visitors, including resort owners, boutique wellness centers, and organic trade buyers, have shown immense interest in collaborating directly with our FPOs. These interactions are paving the way for lucrative, long-term trade partnerships that will directly benefit our farming communities

They expressed a keen interest in our traditional Niranam Parboiled Rice, which is sustainably produced using natural farming methods.
