The Amrit Summit 2026, jointly organized by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, and Kisan Samriddhi, was successfully held at Amritapuri, Vallikkavu. The summit brought together a diverse group of experts, policymakers, and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) through an engaging exhibition and seminar on advanced agricultural mechanization and emerging technologies.
The inaugural session was presided over by Dr. Muralidharan, Former Director of ICAR-Central Plantation Crops Research Institute. The summit was formally inaugurated by Swami Devamritananda Puri, who emphasized the growing importance of integrating modern technologies with sustainable agricultural practices to ensure long-term productivity and resilience.

The summit featured insightful contributions from distinguished speakers including Smt. Komalam, P. Muralidharan (Bharatiya Kisan Sangh), Dr. Sudheesh Kumar (Amrita School of Agricultural Sciences), and Adv. Ratheesh Gopal. Their discussions centered on farmer empowerment, capacity building, and the importance of collaborative institutional frameworks for sustainable agricultural growth.
FPO Round Table: Addressing Challenges and Future Pathways
A major highlight of the summit was the Round Table Conference for FPOs, which served as a dynamic platform for dialogue and exchange of ideas. The panel discussion was led by Shri S. Suresh Kumar, Director of BAMCO and former Joint Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India, along with Dr. C. Suresh Kumar, General Secretary of CISSA.
The session focused on key areas such as policy support, operational challenges, and strategic growth opportunities for FPOs, enabling participants to gain valuable insights for strengthening their organizations.
Eminent experts including Smt. Anitha Kumari, Former Principal Scientist, and Shri Biju Kaimakal shared their valuable perspectives during the discussions.
